Sunday, August 14, 2005 Just came back from the concert...
Thank God... Evrything went well... Although I made some mistake here and there... but then, thank God that I'm not the only one :P They record down the whole concert... and even took down some photos. For your info, this time is no longer held in church, it's in my teacher's house... Wait! before u say cheh... My teacher just moved house. Btw, my teacher is last time in BOL de... Luo Chin Guo... Ya... Evrything was so nice in there... He still got a stage, as in a small one for the grand piano... i think it's new de. Cos last time he dun have one. Then evrything was designed by a designer... nice! thank God for blessing my teacher. I tell u arh, when u go in, the HDB feeling will not be there le, rather the semi-detached feeling... I mean inside dun look lyk it's a HDB flat lah. So, I won't make much comments abt other ppl's performance la. It's not up to me... Just tell u how i feel... I shouldn't be nervous in fact cos this is not the first time I'm performing in a concert lyk this le... I think 5th time le? ard there lah. So, shouldn't be nervous... And I won't... unless... something happens la. Aha! Also must thank God that huimin today got tuition in the afternoon... if not she tag along I die le... I confirm sweat until the whole palm wet lor. hahas ok...I wasn't nervous when I'm there.... First piece... B:3... La Tarentelle. Oh, for ur info, those alphabet:number is lyk erm... taken out from our exam pieces de... yup. The first one... quite ok... made some repeating mistakes cos wasn't use to repeat cos usually i play without the repetition all these de ma... Then, next one!!! Still got next two pieces after the break. Then, after the break, my turn again. This time two pieces lah. A:3 and C:2... A:3 is Les Carillons and C:2 is Adeus, bella morena! If u all r interested in the meaning of these pieces, ask me lor... cos dun feel lyk typing here... troublesome and i will go out of pt again... lol A;3 first.... Play play play... all is well until... aiya! Wrong note... I mean I caught the wrong one cos it's supposed to be a black key but I accidentally played a white de. So, my face was lyk... a lot of wierd expressions... So, I just play that part again (nth wrong, as long as i finish evrything, and it's good cos some of them played the same piece as me, they wud noe) Then still got some parts which are not that obvious that I made mistake, I would try to cover it up by just running through. Then, because of this, I started to panick... Oh ya... I just realised... I missed out something... I forgot to repeat it again cos it's D.C. al Fine, in full is Da Capo al Fine, which means repeat from somewhere to fine. It's an italian term, learn music is lyk tt. Die die must noe at least some basic de. But me still try to memorise all, just for that few marks during theory grading. Anyway, nvm... I forgot... I think some of them realised but too kind to tell me... Second piece... flip flip flip to that page. As I'm flipping, I was taking my time cos I wanted to calm myself down before I start playing cos I can feel my heartbeat at that time, fast wor. So, u tell me lah.. how long do u take to flip pages? hahas... ya... din take up much time though... dun wanna look lyk super xiao jie tt type, lyk my sis... which I can't really stand her sometimes... ok... stop! cannot kip toking bad abt her... ok...next piece... Heart still beating very fast but it's ok... din really tangle up my fingers anyway... then most of the time, the first part is the part where u r most familiar with throughout the whole piece that u play...y? think! very easy de... Then I play play play till halfway... all is good... and then...ohoh... where am i now? where? hahas... Can't find where I am... So, as i'm playing, I was searching for it. hahas... thank God that I managed to somehow memorise the front part... I mean the front part of the second part... well, i guess u dun get wat i mean cos the second part third part all these r sort out by me.. i always got this habit... as in got the feeling that oh... end of first part.. always lyk tt de... dunno why... no one taught me k... Anyway, thank God that I managed to find it in the end just before I stop to look for it. whew... And someone that I'm very pei fu of... Sungyang.... huimin, relax... haven finish... sungyang's fren... hahas... ok lah... One of his eyes was blind... Yet! he can play super well... it's lyk it's even better than CDs... Then, when he was interviewed by my teacher... I was even more amazed... nonono... not that his voice is cool or wateva... lol Luo: How long have you learnt the piano? SY's fren: 4 years evryone's eyes open big big.. mouth big big... Luo: How long do you practise piano evryday? SY's fren: I dun really practise evryday, I just practise it when I feel lyk it... oh... Luo: What was the longest time u spent practising? SY's fren: 10 hours My spectacle gonna drop (da4 die1 yan3 jing4)... hahas Luo: shortest? SY's fren: 4 hours Wahh... I tell u... this boy arh... pro... anyway, he's no longer a boy. hahas He play very well... only four years better than all of us there... (ok lah, cannot say that he four years i five years he better than me. nth to compare, I dun practise... very lazy. I mean for the pro little boy over there oso learn longer than him also haven reach that level yet lor) He play with emotions... can c... somehow can c... Then, I was thinking... When ppl ask me what grade I am at... And they noe... they wow... the next time I would say that that's nth to be proud of... nth at all! For me, it's just a 虚名 only. Put signboard there... I am a grd 5... If i dun say... ppl would prob think that I'm just a grd 2 or 3... Serious... All these years, I nv treat this piano thing seriously. I only took one practical exam after 4-5 years... the grade 2 de... And I'm not afraid to tellu my result... 100! yes... not full marks... It's just pass... total is not 200... is abt 100 plus. A just pass grd 2... and skip all the way to grd 5... skip as in without having the exams... Din take my exam bcos of some other reasons... dun wanna get out of point... so... ya... If I can sit there for one hour and continuously playing the piano, i mean practising those pieces that I'm told to practise... You see miracle... I can thank God for that... So, let's try out... one hour... not 1 sec lesser... U all see if I can do it or not la... :P WX

other paths <--UthNity--> prayer list - When i'm at Ipoh...- Pray that i'll be able to slp well when i'm in Ipoh. It's really too terrible le. seriously. If i tell u the story, it will sound lyk ghost story. - Pray that I can have the time for my quiet time. cos i noe tt it's v unlikely to have my quiet time there la. they kip going out n my dad will go in n out of the room. - Safety... haha. i seriously dun wanna get myself injured. really!! my tournament is coming le. so ya. - Badminton Tournament (starting frm next thurs) - Safety again... - Take the game seriously. erm... seriously, i'm nt hoping to win, cos... tell u another time, nt tt... erm... wateva la!
